$1.3 trillion added as a result of Bush tax cuts for the rich.

There are seven congressmen from the great state of Alabama in the U.S. House of Representatives, two Democrats and five Republicans. They all suck. Here’s why.

They betrayed us last week. Twice.

First, it was to vote unanimously in favor of so-called “bankruptcy reform.” This is a bill to protect credit cards companies and banks from having individuals declare bankruptcy and having some of their debts forgiven if they can’t pay. This seems only fair, doesn’t it? After all, you have to pay your debts. But look a little closer.

Nearly half of all bankruptcies are a direct result of illness, according to Fox News, and 75 percent of those people had health insurance. For the two years before declaring bankruptcy, 43 percent went without filling medical prescriptions because they couldn’t afford them. Nineteen percent went without food. In other words, you get cancer, you starve yourself to make the bills, you spend all your savings trying to stay alive and the credit card companies come to take your house.
