Violence by Israelis goes unpunished.
Israeli occupation authorities extended on Monday the closure being imposed on the occupied Palestinian territories (oPt) and the Israeli troops stormed two Palestinian villages.
The Israeli occupation authorities, within the siege policy, prolonged on Monday the closure being imposed on the West Bank and the border crossings in the Gaza Strip under the pretext of the Purim, a Jewish feast.
A spokesman of the Israeli troops, was quoted as saying that the closure was expanded for the next six days, from Thursday through Sunday, as the closure on Gaza has further prevented entry of 5000 Palestinian workers to workplaces inside Israel.
A part of such an Israeli closure policy, the Israeli troops erected early on Monday a mobile checkpoint in Nablus City, near the illegal Israeli settlement of Yetsahar, which is established on Palestinian-owned lands, south of the city.
On the other hand, five armed Israeli settlers from the Alon Moraih illegal settlement, attacked last night Palestinain elderly Abdelkarim Hanani, 70 years-old from the Beit Dajan village, east of Nablus, the village’s mayor, Nasser Abu Jaish said.
The mayor added that the settlers had beaten him severely, causing him bruises in different parts of his body.
In the meantime, the Israeli troops stormed the West Bank villages of Beit T’amar and Alfardees, east of the Bethlehem City.
Witnesses said that an Israeli force, including several armored vehicles, swept a into the said villages. No details were reported.
Meanwhile, the Israeli troops took over eight dunums of Palestinian-owned lands, to the north of Kiryat Arb’a illegal Israeli settlement, which is established on Palestinian-owned lands, east of the city.
Expert of maps and Israeli settlement, Abdelhadi Hantash, considered such a land grab as an Israeli attempt to annex the illegal Israeli settlement blocs and a military base called ‘Shmoret Itshaq’, which is established on Palestinian-owned lands.
In another development, the Israeli troops held yesterday tens of Palestinian residents at a military checkpoint on the Wad Abu Katila road, with no reasons explained.
Coincidently, the Israeli troops held tens of Palestinians others at other checkpoints in the Alhawooz, the Aldahiya and the Al-Salam streets, mainly near the Alharam Alibrahimi mosque.
