Organized Christianity needs to make a decision now to win in 2008.

by James Buchanan

Dr. James Dobson

The George Bush administration has been a failure for organized Christianity. There is a serious problem inside the Republican Party which has been allowed to grow, thanks to the negligence of George Bush. Congressman Mark Foley and Senator Larry Craig are just the tip of the iceberg and were enormous embarrassments tarnishing the reputation of the GOP (and anyone associated with it.) No one in a position of power would discreetly remove them. There are many more Larry Craigs and Mark Foleys surrounding George Bush. Bush’s closest advisor Karl Rove has been seen visiting a discreet homosexual bar in Washington, DC. and Bush himself uses the word “fabulous” a little too often.

Added to the homosexual problem is the evil cabal of mostly non-Christian neocons, who have been surrounding Bush for much of his presidency. These amoral reptiles lied us into the Iraq War and they were responsible for the Abu Ghraib disaster, the legalization of torture, warrant-less wiretaps, the undermining of habeas corpus, the creation of secret prisons and all the other things which have alarmed millions of patriots, who are afraid of losing the Bill of Rights, and alienated millions of Christians who see “torture” as something the bad guys in the movies do.

It’s fairly obvious by now that conquering Saddam Hussein’s Iraq is not going to bring on the Rapture. The Iraqis are openly hostile to the occupation force and the chance of converting Iraqis to Christianity is pretty much nil right now. The Iraq War is an albatross around the neck of the Republican Party. It cost us the 2006 elections and it will further marginalize us in 2008 if we continue to support it.

We are facing a fork in the road. We can continue the neocon war in Iraq and face certain defeat in 2008 or we can abandon the Iraq War and take a new direction. The Bible says “blessed are the peace-makers” not “blessed are the warmongers.” We need to drop the Iraq War and take a new direction to be certain to defeat Hillary Clinton and her pro-homosexual coalition.

Organized Christianity needs to back someone who can beat Rudy Giuliani in the Republican primary, and we need to choose NOW. There is one man, who has led his life as an exemplary Christian, who is personally opposed to abortion, and who would pull our troops out of Iraq. That man is Ron Paul. If organized Christianity were to announce its support for Paul, it would give him the additional boost and publicity he needs to win. A presidential victory in 2008 by a candidate backed by organized Christianity would reaffirm how important we are; just like the time Ronald Reagan won with our support. Instead of Hillary and her homosexual allies occupying the White House, Ron Paul and his Christian friends would be the victors.

In the next week, the third quarter numbers are going to be announced for all the Republican candidates. Ron Paul is going to be seen as surprisingly strong financially. His last week fund appeal garnered 1.2 million dollars (pulling in money at a rate almost equal to Barack Obama’s average for the third quarter). Mike Huckabee for example is going to have only a small fraction of the money that Ron Paul pulled in and his pro-war stand is alienating voters.

Ron Paul has won 11 straw polls and placed in the top three in all but a couple straw polls. Only the Hollywood sleaze-bag Fred Thompson and Moneybags Romney come close to this sort of popularity. Ron Paul has mobilized all the patriots, libertarians and freedom-loving Americans, who want to see the Constitution preserved. If organized Christianity jumps on his bandwagon, he will be unstoppable in the Republican primary. But before this can happen, a great figure in the Christian movement needs to come forward and strongly endorse Ron Paul.

It’s an easy choice for 2008. We can join together with Ron Paul and march on toward victory. Or organized Christianity can continue its unholy alliance with the cabalistic neocons and go down to defeat –only to watch a sneering Hillary Clinton and her butch entourage occupy the White House for the next eight years.
