One of the marks of life in a police state is a kind of creeping fear and paranoia, a sense that someone is always watching and listening. It is clearly the goal of democracy in this century to create an electronic and bureaucratic surveillance state, where everyone is watched all the time. The British have already done this with thousands of closed-circuit TV cameras. The US government has approved every manner of electronic wiretapping without the need for any of those pesky warrants as required by the Bill of Rights. Bush and his Jewish friends got us on the road to a police state with the Patriot Act, but Obama is leaping headlong into the surveillance state with both feet. And for the first time, it’s the official and legal opposition that’s being targeted, not just “extremists” like us.

The Washington Times reports: “Outspoken Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann says she’s so worried that information from next year’s national census will be abused that she will refuse to fill out anything more than the number of people in her household. In an interview Wednesday morning with The Washington Times America’s Morning News, Mrs. Bachmann, Minnesota Republican, said the questions have become ‘very intricate, very personal’ and she also fears that ACORN, the community organizing group that came under fire for its voter registration efforts last year, will be part of the Census Bureau’s door-to-door information collection efforts. ‘I know for my family the only question we will be answering is how many people are in our home,’ she said. ‘We won’t be answering any information beyond that, because the Constitution doesn’t require any information beyond that.’ ”

ACORN is looming larger and larger on the political horizon these days as the shadowy enforcement arm of the Obama regime. This secretive liberal group, drawing on sources of funds which no one seems to be able to trace, employs thousands of activists –virtually all of them non-White, and their activities seem to be increasingly illegal such as vote fraud.

But now that the election is over, ACORN seems to be still around, doing polling and canvassing for “The One”, (no doubt these are surly and threatening-looking non-Whites turning up on White people’s doorsteps demanding information in a menacing fashion, as in census-taking) as well as doing strong-arm goon work for the Democrats, as when they assaulted a Republican New York state senator in the corridors of the legislature in Albany a few weeks ago. This kind of intimidation directed against the official opposition party in our wonderful free democracy is unprecedented since Abraham Lincoln suspended habeas corpus and arrested all his opposition in 1861.

The election is over. The Democrats stole it fair and square. John McCain played his role as designated loser. So why, exactly, is ACORN still hanging around? Is the census going to be entrusted to them? Maybe Representative Bachmann isn’t quite as paranoid as she sounds. The Jew Al Franken stole the Senate seat in her own state of Minnesota by counting discarded ballots and ignoring legitimate military ballots. Maybe this lady knows what she’s talking about.
