Jordan said on Monday Israeli efforts to block its planned purchase of U.S.-made AMRAAM air-to-air missiles was interference by its powerful western neighbor in its strategic defense policies.
“We don’t accept this interference. It’s a matter of sovereignty and we will insist on negotiating with the Americans to acquire the latest weaponry that would defend our country against any future attack,” government spokeswoman Asma Khader told reporters.
