A recent news article reports “Authorities are searching for a(n) (Obama) healthcare reform supporter who they said bit off the fingertip of a 65-year-old man during a fight at a MoveOn.org rally in Thousand Oaks. The incident occurred about 7 p.m. Wednesday at a ‘We Can’t Afford to Wait’ vigil organized by affiliates of the activist group MoveOn.org, which drew supporters of President Obama’s healthcare plan, said Senior Deputy Eric Buschow of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. The rally also attracted several counter-protesters, he said. During the rally at Lynn Road and Hillcrest Drive, the suspect and William James Rice got into an argument and began fighting. Rice, of Newbury Park, punched the suspect after the man called him an ‘idiot,’ Buschow said. At that point, the suspect bit off part of Rice’s left pinkie, Buschow said.”

The leftist goon, who appeared to be part of a MoveOn.org mob, picked out the oldest and smallest opponent, he could find, and then ran up to the man in an obvious effort to start a fight. The goon was shouting in a deranged manner as he approached. Instead of running away, 65 year old William James Rice stood his ground and punched the leftist as he came within Rice’s personal space.

Anyone familiar with communists, progressives and other far left goons is not going to be surprised that one of them would attack a senior citizen for his political beliefs. Maiming someone, however, is a new low, which previously was in the realm of chimpanzees (although ACORN may have registered some chimps to vote in the last election). It’s hard to imagine even a crazed meth addict biting off someone’s finger. (Actually a meth addict probably wouldn’t have enough teeth left to bite off someone’s finger.)

Obama’s health care plan was already on the ropes, and this horrific finger biting incident may just be the last straw to convince ordinary Americans that they don’t want a pack of crazed socialists and finger-biters getting that much power and control over ordinary Americans and their health care options.

We don’t need some socialist commissar with the blood from the last severed finger he chomped down on trickling down his cheek, sitting on the death panel deciding whether or not we deserve to get government health care.

The individual, who bit off the finger, was captured on videotape and is described as a stocky dark-haired man, who is obviously crazy. It is not clear yet if anyone knows the whereabouts of Al Gore at the time of the maiming.

Was this an isolated incident or do leftists plan on biting off more fingers at future protests? Just in case this happens again, an article on the Examiner.com has offered up the following helpful advice:

“Eight rules to follow if your pinky is bitten off at an ObamaCare rally

* 1. First and foremost – stay calm. You are surrounded by friends; they will help you. Whatever else you may do – don’t punch the guy with the injured hand – remember your finger was just bitten off and it will hurt like stink if you do.

* 2. Don’t chase the guy; your friends will do that, but try to find the finger. Likely, he spat it out and it will be within a 20-foot perimeter in the direction he was running. If your friends catch him and the finger is still in his mouth or, worse yet, he swallowed it, you’re out of luck because under these conditions the finger cannot be transplanted.

* 3. If the finger is found within that 20-foot perimeter, soak it in sterile saline, pack it in ice and bring it with you to the hospital.

* 4. Make sure you have your Medicare card with you; in fact, under these new circumstances, never go to an ObamaCare rally or town hall meeting without one.

* 5. When you get to the hospital, make sure you get a tetanus shot. If you haven’t had one within 10 years, Medicare will pay for it.

* 6. Should you have rabies shots? That depends on whether or not they catch the guy. If they catch him, after they decapitate him and examine the brain, if there is no evidence of rabies, you don’t need the shots. If, however, they don’t catch him, most certainly you should have the rabies shots because only a mad animal will bite your finger off.

* 7. Can you have your finger transplanted? That really depends on your quality adjusted life years. You’re over sixty five, you have some chronic illness, a little diabetes, a little hypertension, a little peripheral vascular disease – you led a good life and it’s only a pinky – take the pain pill.

* 8. Finally, while you’re at the hospital, you might want to get your end-of-life counseling and make sure you sign the advanced directive before you leave.”
