Karl Rove

After a lengthy investigation that was repeatedly stonewalled by the Bush administration, Lewis “Scooter” Libby is the first member of the Bush regime to be indicted over the outing of a CIA agent. The reason for outing CIA agent Valerie Plame was political retaliation for a report her husband made. Valerie’s husband Joe Wilson was asked by our government to investigate whether Iraq sought uranium yellowcake from Niger. Wilson reported that the Iraqis had done no such thing. His report was ignored and the yellowcake story was one of the Bush administration’s major reasons for going to war. Like all the other reasons, it has proven to be a lie.

An Associated Press article reports “Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff resigned Friday after he was indicted on charges of obstructing a grand jury investigation and lying about his actions that blew the CIA cover of an Iraq war critic’s wife. I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby became the first high-ranking White House official in decades to be criminally charged while still in office. A second key figure in the two-year CIA leak investigation, presidential strategist Karl Rove, was spared from criminal charges for the time being. Libby wasn’t indicted specifically for the leak, but special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald left little doubt that he believed Cheney’s top aide learned Valerie Plame’s classified identity from the CIA, State Department and his own boss and then revealed it to reporters. ‘It’s important that a CIA officer’s identity be protected, that it be protected not just for the officer, but for the nation’s security,’ the prosecutor said. ‘Mr. Libby was the first official known to have told a reporter.’ “

Millions of Americans still blindly support George Bush. They don’t want to admit that the Republican party has sold them out almost as badly as the Democrats. They don’t want to think about the monumental problem of having to start a new party to replace one that’s become hopelessly corrupt. Much like an ostrich, they would rather keep their head in the sand rather than look up and face reality.

A group of militant Zionists with war plans to conquer every nation in the Middle East, that Israel dislikes, rode into Washington DC on Bush’s coattails. They distorted intelligence and lied us into a completely unnecessary, illegal war with Iraq, which has turned most civilized nations in the world against us.

When you live amidst a den of thieves, it’s only a matter of time before some of your associates get caught. Scooter Libby is just one traitor from a regime of traitors. Some neocon talk show hosts are desperately trying to spin the prosecution as being political. It will get increasingly hard to “explain” as more and more Bush officials become indicted and it becomes clear that the Bush regime is a den of neocon and Gay thieves. If Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sixpack realize just how evil (and depraved) the Bush administration is, then we can finally have the impeachment, we should have had during Bush’s first term.

This business of Libby & Co. blowing the cover of Valerie Plame out of spite, is only half the story. I think Justin over at AntiWar.com is right… Libby and Rove had a hand in forging the Niger documents, and they outed Plame to prevent her and her work colleagues from fingering them.
