Phony Polls Pretend McCain Stands a Chance

by James Buchanan

Crazy John McCain

Recently there have been a couple highly dubious polls showing McCain ahead of Obama by a narrow margin. Frankly, I don’t believe McCain is ahead of Obama for one second. McCain “won” the Republican nomination with some help from Diebold, a weak field of competitors, an irrational fear of Mormons and an unbelievably bad campaign run by Kent Snyder for Ron Paul.

McCain is such a horrible candidate for Republicans, that at least half of all conservatives will refuse to vote for him in the general election. Most conservatives see McCain as a crazy, arrogant, liberal traitor. Meanwhile, liberals are going to vote for the most liberal candidate, which would be Obama.

During the fourth quarter of 2007, McCain raised a total of about ten million —and he needed matching funds to do that. (Some people have pointed out that McCain may be “locked in” to matching funds now, greatly limiting how much he can raise.) Ron Paul raised almost 20 million in the fourth quarter without matching funds. Among the Republicans, only Ron Paul had the strong financial grass roots support to compete with Obama.

McCain was seen as a pro-Amnesty lunatic, who stood no chance of winning so few people were donating to him. Both Obama and Hillary had raised close to $90 million by January. Obama raised a record one-month total of $55 million in February. McCain is practically a homeless guy in comparison.

McCain is so unpopular that there’s a movement among conservatives to make sure he doesn’t win. Limbaugh is telling people to not vote for McCain. Ann Coulter said she would campaign for Hillary if McCain became the Republican nominee.

Americans are getting tired of betrayal. The Republican Party has been hijacked by neocon warmongers, who lied us into Iraq. We don’t need Crazy John McCain keeping us there for the next 100 years. (If the Vietnam War had lasted 100 years, John McCain would still be a POW.)

Well over 80 percent of Americans oppose Amnesty. In the Republican Party, the percentage opposing Amnesty must be over 95 percent. It is mathematically impossible for John McCain to have won the Republican primary unless people are woefully ignorant of McCain co-sponsoring an Amnesty Bill last June or unless the Republican primaries had massive vote-stealing thanks to Diebold.

Only the Jewish neocons seem strongly behind McCain and they are entirely capable of fabricating these ridiculous “polls” claiming that McCain is ahead. If America is going to produce a liberal president in 2008, it’s better to have the liberal from the Democrat Party so that Republicans realize that they are supposed to produce conservative, not liberal candidates. The best course of action for patriots this election, would be to vote for Republican Senators and Representatives and a Third Party candidate for president. The best we can hope for is gridlock for the next four years.
