The plight of Cindy Sheehan is hitting a resonant chord with most Americans. America has changed since the start of the war. The reasons for the war have been exposed as lies. The war has gone much worse than expected. 59 percent of Americans now think the Iraq War is wrong. Cindy Sheehan was recently called the “Rosa Parks” of the peace movement. Bush is looking at an iceberg directly in front of his ship of state and he doesn’t realize what could happen next.

There is a very deliberate campaign by neocons to belittle and dismiss Cindy Sheehan. Neocons have been calling libertarian and left-wing radio shows in a very obvious orchestrated effort. They realize how dangerous Cindy Sheehan is to their puppet George Bush. Their efforts to smear the mother of a fallen soldier expose the fact that neocons don’t really care about “the troops” whom they endlessly claim to support. If Karl Rove thinks he can mobilize neocons to demonize and ridicule Mrs. Sheehan without a backlash, he’s making as bad a decision as outting Valerie Plame.

The neocons are trying to say that it is wrong for a mother to stand outside the home of the president just because her son was killed in a war. Given all the revelations about the war, the best place for a grieving parent is along the road outside Bush’s ranch with Cindy Sheehan. The Downing Street Memos and the phony Nigerian yellowcake story are rock solid proof that the Bush regime lied us into a war that killed Cindy Sheehan’s son and over 1800 other Americans. Every American has a responsibility to oppose an unjust war and to prevent more American mothers from needlessly losing their children.

A few Americans think that anyone who volunteers for the US army has signed their life away and it’s effectively “OK” if they get killed in combat. Anyone who joins the US army thinks he is doing so to protect our republic from real enemies. A volunteer for the army IS NOT answering an ad out of the back of Soldier of Fortune and signing onto an unknown mission for whoever is paying. Most 18 year olds don’t realize how evil our politicians are and how badly they misuse the military. It is the job of all patriotic Americans to attack politicians who abuse the military sending soldiers off to fight wars for Israel and Halliburton.
